Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

YouTube Is PUNISHING Gamers for Playing THIS Game!

Covering a horror game is one thing. Deciding whether the footage could put your channel at risk is another, and that distinction gave 8BE its most watched new upload this week.

In "YouTube Is PUNISHING Gamers for Playing THIS Game!", Eric examines reported enforcement involving Hellraiser: Revival. His description cites J0nathan's account of losing his channel after uploading gameplay and RGT85's account of coverage losing monetization after initially passing advertising checks. Eric's concern is proportionality and clarity: creators need to understand the difference between an advertising decision, a strike and losing a channel altogether.

That upload reached about 11,000 views. A separate upload on the same subject, "YouTube DELETED His Channel Over ONE Game!", currently draws the most daily views of any video on the channel. In the comments on the week's most watched upload, viewers bring up self-censoring horror gameplay and comparisons with older Mortal Kombat games.

Ownership runs through the rest of the week, too. Two Wolverine uploads use reported physical-sales figures to argue for keeping discs available, while another questions an expensive used PS5 Pro listing. An older PS5 jailbreak upload remains among the channel's most active videos, framing console modification around who controls hardware after purchase.

Across the channel, weekly viewing reached roughly 182,000 views and subscribers stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is well below its usual pace. Nearby, OhNoItsAlexx is drawing more than twice its typical daily audience; Eric's quieter stretch nevertheless has a clear conversation running through it: what gamers can keep, control and safely show.

I played the 16-bit Mortal Kombat games as a kid, but this video makes me think if I mentioned those games in a video would YouTube have a problem with it. Those early games have cartoon violence compared to the modern 3D games which are more disturbing.
