Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

How Islam Makhachev Outsmarts Elite Strikers

"How Islam Makhachev Outsmarts Elite Strikers" puts the tactical side of MMA at the center of CageClassics' catch-up collection. Its description names Ian Garry as the matchup under discussion, a natural fit for a channel interested in how wrestling changes the problems facing a striker.

There were no new uploads this week, but the channel added about 193,000 views. Its daily viewing is almost exactly at its usual level, while the subscriber count stayed unchanged. This is a library week, rather than a release week.

The Makhachev breakdown is drawing the most daily views among the active videos here, with "Petr Yan Trips & Sweeps" close behind. That pairing offers two different technical entry points: outthinking striking specialists and examining the ways a fighter takes an opponent off balance. Yan's video is approaching 95,000 views, several months after publication.

"How Carlos Prates Earned His UFC Contract" supplies the career-story counterpart. Prates earned that opportunity through Dana White's Contender Series, where a knockout victory over Mitch Ramirez in 2023 brought him into the UFC. It is the kind of turning point that fits CageClassics' stated interest in moments that shape a fighter's story beyond individual bouts.
