Cash & Maverick put forks to a blindfolded food test
Raw broccoli, a cinnamon roll and plain spaghetti make very different challenges when nobody can see the cutting board.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 63,287 views a day, 8.4 times a normal first day on this channel (7,532).
Guess The Item!!
The broccoli proves difficult before anyone even gets a bite. Wearing sleep masks, two participants jab at the raw head with forks, trying to identify the food in Cash & Maverick's "Guess The Item!!"
When the woman finally tastes a small piece, recognition isn't her first response. "That is a taste that I don't want in my mouth," she says. Her partner then abandons the fork, picks up the broccoli with his hands and drops it onto her foot.
The Short reached about 63,000 views in its first day, more than eight times the channel's usual start for the format. Its setup needs little explanation: finding the food is part of the task, not just naming it.
A cinnamon roll offers a sweeter round, with one participant landing a bite and correctly identifying it. Then comes a mound of plain spaghetti, which the woman tackles with an enormous forkful and considerably more apprehension.
