The cat isn't offering an apology. At least, that's the running joke beneath a short on Videos that make your day better, whose title frames an adult cat as shamelessly stealing milk meant for kittens.

The clip has reached about 3.7 million views in 17 hours, far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for a short. Its comment section is also many times busier than a typical upload's, and the discussion has a very specific focus: that slow blink.

Viewers read the expression as complete indifference to the accusation. Some invent unapologetic replies for the cat; others imagine it arguing that the milk belongs to it, too. These are jokes giving the animal a voice, not evidence of its family relationships or intentions.

Videos that make your day better is a clips channel that re-edits other people's footage. Here, the audience has supplied an extra layer: an imaginary defense speech for a cat that barely needs to blink.
