Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

He’s looking for a restraining order! | #TheRookie

What did the cat do? That is the question filling the comments beneath "He's looking for a restraining order! | #TheRookie," the most-watched of four new uploads on The Rookie (Fan Page).

The excerpt from season two has reached roughly 1.5 million views. Viewers want the cat's backstory, with imagined explanations ranging from a hidden remote to an underground catnip operation. Others pick out Lucy's patience. It is a distinctly comic corner of a police procedural whose calls can turn from dangerous to deeply peculiar.

This is an unaffiliated fan channel sharing excerpts from ABC's series, not the show's official account. Its episode references make the week's selections easy to place: a season-one car lockout, a season-three military-police comparison, and "It's almost Halloween! | #TheRookie #PeteDavidson," taken from season four. Davidson plays Pete Nolan, John Nolan's half-brother, giving the familiar precinct world a guest-comedy connection.

The restraining-order excerpt has the largest total among the new arrivals, but "The difference between military and police | #TheRookie" is currently drawing the most daily views. The car-lockout clip rounds out the channel's busiest trio.

Subscribers held steady while the catalog added about 26 million views over seven days, the largest weekly gain among its nearby movie-and-TV peers. Daily viewing is nevertheless below the channel's usual level. For this fan page, a slower pace still leaves plenty of room for an unexplained cat to become the week's main talking point.
