Ghost of Yōtei puts image quality under DF Clips' microscope
Digital Foundry's QSSR test anchors fourteen uploads exploring console graphics, PC settings and upscaling choices.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Ghost of Yōtei QSSR Tested: Better - And Worse - Than FSR 3
Snowy backdrops and distant foliage are getting close attention in DF Clips' comment section. Beneath "Ghost of Yōtei QSSR Tested: Better - And Worse - Than FSR 3", one viewer describes looking down from a mountaintop as a useful way to spot differences in shimmering. Others are already drawing up a wish list: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Space Marine 2 and Alan Wake 2.
The Digital Foundry clips and highlights channel posted fourteen videos, with that Yōtei comparison drawing the week's largest audience at about 91,000 views. Its title promises a mixed verdict rather than a simple upgrade story, a fitting starting point for a week full of questions about how games build a sharper picture.
Those questions extended across hardware: why Nintendo avoids DLSS on Switch 2, what Sony wants from QSSR on PS5, and whether Xbox Series consoles could get similar machine-learning upscaling. A Gears of War E-Day PC reaction also turned to The Coalition's console-equivalent settings.
DF Clips added around 760,000 views and gained subscribers over the week, recording the largest weekly view gain among its nearby gaming-commentary peers. OhNoItsAlexx also had a substantial weekly audience, while Br0leg and Displaced Gamers were quieter. DF Clips' current daily viewing, however, is about half its usual level.
The freshest momentum belongs to "Which Games Will Benefit Most From PS5 QSSR Upscaling?", followed by the Project Helix PC-and-console question and a Star Wars: Galactic Racer review reaction. After a week examining the technology, the channel's busiest daily draw asks where it might make the biggest difference.

What viewers say
For Yotei I found that going to the top of the mountain and looking down at the foliage really drove it home, especially against the white backdrop of the snow, it made it very clear how much less shimmering there was in QSSR.
@Asjonesy99See it on YouTubeI'm very interested how FF7 Rebirth performance mode will look with this
@sagecentral1809See it on YouTubeI would like to see Space Marine 2 using QSSR, since the performance mode looked really blurry with FSR2. Or also in Silent Hill 2, there are a lot of games that could be improved and have PSSR enabled.
