Jesse Dollemore puts press secretary clip under Hatch Act scrutiny
His fast-starting Short pairs a Fox appearance with a federal ethics explainer, though its hashtags and footage name different people.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 76,261 views a day, 8 times a normal first day on this channel (9,567).
Trump's New Press Secretary INSTANTLY VIOLATES FEDERAL LAW #DollemoreDaily #KatieZacharia #News
Jesse Dollemore interrupts a television appearance with something less familiar than a rebuttal: an informational video from the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. His question is whether a press secretary's appeal for midterm victories crosses a legal line.
The Short has drawn roughly 60,000 views in its first 15 hours, putting it on pace for eight times Dollemore's usual first-day Shorts audience. Its comment section is already nearly five times as busy as a typical full first day.
The footage features Karoline Leavitt speaking on Fox & Friends Weekend about Donald Trump's record and political victories. Dollemore then explains the Hatch Act's restrictions on executive-branch employees' campaign activity, plays the official overview and points to a list of prohibited activities. He says Leavitt violated two of those rules during the broadcast. That is Dollemore's accusation, not a legal finding established by the clip.
There is also a naming mismatch worth keeping straight: the upload's hashtags name Katie Zacharia, but the television appearance Dollemore examines features Leavitt.
