The roster is imaginary. The press-conference frustration is very real.

Fantasy Football Today has repurposed Derek Anderson's famous 2010 outburst with a caption that changes the stakes: "When someone makes fun of your fantasy team in the group chat." Suddenly, an NFL quarterback defending how seriously he takes his work becomes a stand-in for the fantasy manager whose friends won't stop teasing.

This is archival footage turned into a meme, not a player being asked about fantasy football. Against an Arizona Cardinals backdrop, Anderson insists on the effort he puts in every week while an off-camera reporter tries to explain his question. "It's not funny. Nothing's funny to me," he says.

The Short drew an estimated 64,000 views in its first day, roughly fourteen times the channel's usual start for the format. It offers a different kind of service from the surrounding Week 7 lineup previews and trade advice: no recommendation about whom to bench, just a ready-made response to the group chat.

Viewers are supplying their own versions of the joke. Some describe losing records and bad luck; another recounts a girlfriend teasing him for getting upset about his imaginary team. Anderson's insistence that the work matters is the part they've borrowed.
