Hangtime takes the curl challenge underwater
Three new uploads put strength to the test, from submerged lifting to opening fruit with bare hands.

How much can you curl UNDERWATER?
Does moving a curl underwater change what counts as heavy lifting? Hangtime's latest challenge has viewers thinking about physics as much as muscle. "How much can you curl UNDERWATER?" reached roughly 1.6 million views, making it the biggest new upload of the week and the channel's busiest video right now.
The comments offer two very different soundtracks: explanations of how an object's density affects lifting it underwater, and appreciation for the exertion noises. Elsewhere in the discussion, a viewer requests a return to the mixing-everything format, with granola bars as the proposed next ingredient. For a channel that has melted both candy and gum into single pieces, that's a fairly on-brand shopping list.
The other new uploads keep the equipment minimal: "What fruits can you open with BARE HANDS?" and "What can you SPLIT with BARE HANDS?" The splitting challenge also sits among the channel's strongest daily draws, alongside the older "I baked the ENTIRE thing," which continues attracting substantial viewing two weeks after publication.
Hangtime added 10,000 subscribers over seven days, while daily views are running above their usual level. Among nearby challenge channels, Brotherofcolor had a particularly substantial viewing week; Max Fosh and TBJZL were quieter. Hangtime's own week found plenty to work with in a simple combination: bare hands, everyday objects and a change of surroundings.

What viewers say
It really depends on how the density of the object being curled compares to the density of water, for example, a 300kg tub of oil would float on water, so it would be really easy to curl underwater, despite being impossible for most guys to lift on land.
