HBO left the upload queue empty, but its library added roughly 2.2 million views over the week. The subscriber count held steady, while daily viewing is now running at nearly three times its usual level. A pause in publishing has not meant a pause in watching.
The documentary shelf supplies the most active individual titles. "The Dark Wizard | HBO | Trailer" remains the busiest, returning to Dean Potter's climbing, wingsuit flying and highlining. Its most revealing contrast comes from Alex Honnold: Potter was his climbing hero before the two found themselves competing on the same big-wall terrain. Directors Peter Mortimer and Nick Rosen build the portrait around that tension between inspiration and relentless ambition.
There is a very different kind of ensemble in "Earth, Wind & Fire | Official Trailer | HBO." Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson's documentary follows the band's evolution, spiritual meaning and musical legacy. Alongside it, "Fukushima: A Nuclear Nightmare | Official Trailer | HBO" continues drawing views with its account of the nuclear catastrophe.
Among nearby network and streaming channels, Peacock and South Park Studios had substantially larger weekly view gains. HBO's week was smaller, but its distinctive feature is the breadth of the older documentaries attracting attention: mountain faces, a nuclear emergency and a band whose music has traveled far beyond its original era.
