Why this story? The channel went from 135,000 to 157,000 subscribers this week.
Hispanixs' newest comedy premise is about what people imagine hearing in Mexico's cemeteries. It follows a run of titles rooted in rather livelier gatherings: Mexican parties and rodeos, with ceviche and workplace drinks in between.
The channel has added about 22,000 subscribers over seven days, making it roughly a sixth bigger. That growth comes as the Mexican party sketch passes two million views, a new landmark for the upload that crossed a million earlier this week, as we reported here.
The rodeo upload is the next most watched of the recent videos, while the cemetery-themed arrival is still at a much earlier stage. Its title shifts the setup from a social occasion to an expectation about a place, keeping Mexico at the center of the joke.
Subscriber growth and viewing aren't moving in lockstep: the channel's daily views are currently well below their usual pace, despite the substantial weekly increase in subscribers.
