How did James's vote for a cat work out? Not quite as he hoped, at least in Jasmin and James's latest comedy sketch.

Seated at a counter, the pair pull expanding toy caterpillars from cups, with Jasmin playing for a dog and James for a cat. A running scoreboard makes the little plastic toys consequential: she takes an early lead, he catches up, and the final round is close.

Then comes the reveal. The on-screen date jumps from May to October, and Jasmin hugs a puppy while James stands beside her, looking resigned. The edit turns a tabletop game into a months-long setup for his reaction.

The Short drew roughly 1.5 million views in its first 14 hours, far ahead of the channel's usual Shorts start. In the comments, viewers suggest a cat could still join the household and joke about Jasmin getting her way.

The puppy also has a longer introduction on the channel: "Surprising My Girlfriend With Her DREAM Puppy!!" follows James's surprise for Jasmin, while separate "Puppy Dance Class!" uploads bring the new arrival into their dance-video world.
