What does "We are RICH, RICH, RICH!" mean on a channel about living in a converted school bus? Not money, going by the comments. Viewers read it as Jess and Jake's reply to people who doubted their choices, and the replies read like a pep rally: praise for the DIY build, for the cats, for not giving up. One viewer, a 76-year-old, says she lives through the couple vicariously.

That Short was the most watched of three new uploads, with close to 35,000 views. It was followed by "Our most anticipated project!", which does not say in its title what the project is, and by a sponsored outdoor date. The two newer ones are now gathering views a little faster than the "RICH" Short.

The real engine sits further back. A Chex Mix road-trip Short, also marked as an ad, went up 20 days ago and has passed two million views. It still brings in well over half of everything the channel draws on a single day. That kind of tail is why the channel's pace held right at its usual level, a little over a million views across the week.

Among the travel channels close to its size, nobody added more views over the week. Most of them, from Tourist Walk Tours to Expedition Evans, ran below their normal pace. Subscribers grew by about a thousand, which leaves the skoolie couple one good week away from half a million.
