JEV turns the facecam back on, and memories follow

His three-upload week also revisits Call of Duty's pay-to-win debate and the push toward DMZ.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

They told me to turn my facecam on

The familiar face is the talking point, rather than a new weapon or another camo grind. In the comments on "They told me to turn my facecam on," viewers repeatedly compare JEV's on-camera return to catching up with an old friend. Others ask for occasional facecam appearances, without expecting one in every video.

The upload is approaching half a million views, making it the most-watched of his three new releases. Its opening day drew substantially more views than either "They said CALL OF DUTY is PAY TO WIN.." or "They REALLY want us to play DMZ lol." Those titles keep his Call of Duty commentary focused on familiar player questions: what spending buys you, and how strongly the game is nudging people toward a particular mode.

The facecam upload also carries the most daily momentum among his videos right now. Beyond the new releases, "DMZ isn't what I thought it was" continues to draw viewers, extending the DMZ conversation from the previous week.

Across the channel, weekly viewing reached about 1.9 million, almost identical to jackfrags' weekly total. Loserfruit and TG Plays had substantially larger viewing weeks, while NoahJ456 was quieter. JEV's subscriber count slipped slightly over the week, so the facecam video's strong opening sits alongside a softer overall audience picture.

For viewers commenting on that upload, though, the request is more specific than another gaming topic: let them see JEV at the desk a little more often.
