I made an activity book! #stopmotion #animation

What is getting attention while Kevin Parry takes a week off from posting? An activity book, for a start. "I made an activity book! #stopmotion #animation," posted earlier in October, is drawing the most daily views among his currently active uploads, with its tags pointing toward flipbooks and learning to animate.

That puts a hands-on project beside two familiar invitations to look closely: "Spot the edit 🎯" and "Testing a new mirror trick." The latter was the focus of his earlier note, but the book announcement now brings a different angle to a catalog built around animation and visual sleight of hand.

With nothing new uploaded, the channel added about 800,000 views over seven days. Subscribers stayed unchanged at 3.8 million, while daily viewing is running above its usual level. Among nearby art-and-magic channels, lilycollects had a growing week and Serena Neel a particularly large one; Parry's was a smaller, catalog-powered stretch.

There is plenty of making to explore in that catalog, too. His most-watched regular upload, "Hidden Patterns Inside Fruit w/ Making Of," pairs the finished illusion with its construction. The activity-book announcement fits that same interest in how animation gets made, rather than simply presenting the finished trick.
