Amanda Owen's Yorkshire family returns, and Lorraine's sofa hears the update

The Our Yorkshire Farm star talked co-parenting with Clive, a farmhouse renovation in its third year and a push to get young people reading.

"Amanda Owen Reveals Why Her TV Series Has 'Been a Lifeline'" is the most watched of the twelve uploads on Lorraine's channel this week, and it went up the morning after the Owens let the cameras back onto their Yorkshire farm. The new series, the description says, finds the renovation of the family's new home, known as Anty John's, entering its third year. In the studio Amanda talks about learning to co-parent with her former husband Clive, the father of their nine children, and about a new project to get young people reading. The interview is close to 60,000 views, and three days in it is still gathering them at a healthy pace.

Many in the comments are simply glad to see the family back on television. A sizable group has another subject: they wish the presenter had let her guest finish more of her sentences.

The rest of the week was a fair picture of the show's range. Sue Cleaver and Les Dennis came in to talk about the first stage version of Victoria Wood's dinnerladies, a quarter of a century after Sue first played in the television series. Dr Amir demonstrated five movement tests for how well a body is ageing, and that one is pulling in viewers almost as fast as the Owen interview. Debbie McGee marked 50 years in showbiz and her first memoir, A Magical Life, and talked about saying yes to more since the death of Paul Daniels. Russell T Davies brought his own memoir, along with It's A Sin, Tip Toe and his decision to leave Doctor Who for good.

The channel ran a little above its usual daily pace, though the subscriber count held where it was. Among the talk show channels nearest its size, Would I Lie To You? is having the very big week, and Loose Women, Lorraine's ITV neighbor, is also busier than usual.
