Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Some of my orange LEGO bricks appear to be haunted...

Some viewers want an explanation; others want Alec to build a secret message into the bricks. "Some of my orange LEGO bricks appear to be haunted..." has reached roughly 1.5 million views, making it Master Builder Alec's most-watched new upload of the week.

The comments turn the orange-brick mystery into a building brief. Viewers propose separating the pieces under ultraviolet light, then using the glowing ones for hidden ghosts, faces or designs inside an otherwise ordinary model. Others reach for Ghostbusters jokes, while one hopes for a lesson in color science. A glowing spaceship is another suggestion, particularly well timed for the rest of Alec's week.

"Will it Spaceship? LEGO Mug" supplies the coffee-themed answer, with Alec dubbing the creation the Caffeine Cruiser and the Cup-o-Joe UFO in his description. It too has passed a million views. "Deceptively Difficult Gorilla" rounds out the building lineup, followed by "Halloween Adult Night at LEGOLAND Discovery Center!", whose description names locations including Dallas, Toronto and Chicago. That newest upload is currently bringing in the most daily views on the channel.

Subscribers held steady, and daily viewing is running well below Alec's usual level, though the catalog added nearly ten million views over the week. Nearby LEGO channels offer a mixed picture: ellieV's daily viewing is above its usual pace, while All New Bricks is close to normal. For Alec, the most inventive conversation is happening around those orange pieces: not just why they glow, but what he could hide in plain sight with them.

What viewers say

I say use the black light to separate those bricks. THEN you could make a hidden build in a seemingly normal build! Basketball? Suddenly hidden jack o lantern face! Normal wall? Hidden ghosts! It's a new way to get creative!

Fully expected the Ghost Busters theme to start playing.

You need a model where you can only see the hidden design or message when you turn on the the ultraviolet light by intentionally mixing in the glowing orange bricks into an orange model

This happens with making kandi too- its SO annoying when you accidentally mix them. The chances of a braclet being under a black light is a LOT higher then a lego
