Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Photographer Reacts To Game Of Thrones Cast's Camera Choices

Kit Harington's Leica, Maisie Williams's Contax TVS and Richard Madden's Polaroid SX70 make an unusually varied equipment lineup. In "Photographer Reacts To Game Of Thrones Cast's Camera Choices," Max Adams looks beyond the characters to the cameras associated with the actors, from disposable models to cinema lenses.

Jason Momoa turns up repeatedly in the chapter list, with Leica bodies and a Summicron-C cinema lens kit. Elsewhere, Kristofer Hivju's Pentax K1000 offers a film-camera counterpart to Sophie Turner's Canon 5D IV. The appeal is partly the unexpected casting: familiar faces, unfamiliar gear.

That was one of two uploads this week. The more watched new video, "Cameras better than Sony FX3," has reached about 34,000 views. Its comments take the camera-shopping premise in several directions: viewers nominate Pentax and Polaroid, joke about buying a Nikon without a lens, and ask where Sony's ZV-E1 fits. Others remain quite happy with their existing cameras.

The larger daily audiences belong to older uploads. "Super Macro Lens #photography" is the busiest of the current selection, followed by "400mm Super Macro Lens" and "Kevin O'Leary's Priceless Camera #photography," which centers on his Leica M3.

Max added subscribers over the week, although his current daily views are below his usual level. Among nearby-sized art and photography channels, Zane Hoyer recorded the same weekly subscriber gain, while FelicitaAroma had a particularly busy viewing week. For Max, the close-up lens collection remains the main source of momentum, even as the new videos turn toward the people choosing the cameras.

I've restored very old Leica cameras that I picked up for pennies on the dollar because very few people will repair the vintage models.

A lot of people write off the vintage Leica cameras as "broken" simply because they dont know how to use one.
