Joe Jordan's disputed handball gets McKallaster's Scottish commentary treatment
A Wales-Scotland rewind joins a behind-the-scenes announcement in a two-upload week.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Unbiased Scottish Commentary Wales v Scotland 1977 Joe Jordan Definitely Not a Handball McKallaster
McKallaster has returned to 1977, where the phrase "Definitely Not a Handball" does quite a bit of comic work. His new Wales-Scotland upload revisits Joe Jordan's controversial involvement in the penalty that helped Scotland qualify for the 1978 World Cup. "Unbiased Scottish Commentary" is the joke, not a promise of neutral match analysis.
The other new upload is a what's-next announcement about paid behind-the-scenes content. It drew the larger audience of the two releases, reaching roughly 6,500 views. Among the replies are recurring Archie Gemmill references and a question about when McKallaster will return to Austin FC. The newer football rewind had been online for less than a day, so its smaller total is hardly a final verdict.
Older matches remain the channel's busiest viewing stops. The Everton-Liverpool commentary from 1981, with Graeme Souness tackles in the title, is drawing the most daily views, followed by a Manchester City rules joke built around Derby County footage from April 1977. The new Wales-Scotland upload sits just behind those two.
Subscribers stayed unchanged across the week, while the channel added about 208,000 views. Its current daily viewing is a little below its usual level. Nearby in subscriber size, Joe Thomlinson is also below his usual daily pace, while MoreGinge is close to routine. For McKallaster, the distinctive activity remains in football's archive: old footage, delivered with conspicuously Scottish impartiality.
