'CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP ll', the sequel that announced a new MEEKZ project
Five months on, the masked Manchester rapper's part two of his debut-era anthem is closing in on two million views while the channel rests.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
MEEKZ - CAN’T STOP WON’T STOP ll 🪖
Five months after it went up, "MEEKZ - CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP ll 🪖" is still the video doing most of the work on the Manchester rapper's channel. Its description treats it as more than a single: a sequel to a song from his early run, released to announce a new project, and billed as proof that his first body of work was strong enough to come back to. It is now close to two million views and still picking up thousands a day.
The follow-up came in summer. "MEEKZ - SOULJA" is, in his own words, a switch of flow, a song for a different mood with a message to stay resilient "like a tank." Its description signs off with the same hashtag, so the two songs read as chapters of one campaign, with a project called CSWS up for pre-order. SOULJA moves at roughly a third of the sequel's daily pace, and further back, "BLOW ME A DXB" still collects a few hundred views a day.
No new uploads went out, and the subscriber count held steady at about 374,000. Among the rap channels nearest it in size, Nines and Headie One had the busiest weeks.
For an artist known for the mask and the voice behind it, the quiet suits him. The marching orders are already in the descriptions.
