Jason has changed tactics. Movieclips' newest Crystal Lake selections move from the original Friday the 13th to a sequel in which destroying the killer's body barely solves the problem.

The clips channel posted 15 uploads this week. Its most watched new addition, "Friday the 13th (1980) 4K - BEHEADING Mrs. Voorhees (9/10) | Movieclips," reached about 40,000 views. Adrienne King's Alice faces Betsy Palmer's Mrs. Voorhees on the dock, returning the series to its original antagonist rather than its familiar masked figure. One viewer raises precisely that contrast: how different the first film's villain is from the image that came to define the franchise.

But the strongest daily momentum belongs to the Jason Goes to Hell selections. "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) - Suck on This! (7/12) | Movieclips" features Steven Culp's Robert attacking Kari Keegan's Jessica at the police station. It is followed in daily viewing by "Kiss of Death," where Richard Gant's coroner transfers Jason's spirit to another host, and the decidedly less human "The Hellbaby." These are excerpts from Adam Marcus's film, not new Movieclips productions.

Across its whole catalog, Movieclips gained roughly 91 million views over the week. Daily viewing is more than half above its usual pace, while subscribers remained unchanged. Nearby horror channel Dead Meat is also drawing above-usual daily viewing; Corridor Crew and Screen Junkies are quieter than usual. For Movieclips, the new-upload story has moved beyond the original camp slasher into Jason's stranger supernatural afterlife.
