Not the Worst Cleaner tackles a fridge left closed for a year

Brogan brings her four-foot sectioning method to a free refrigerator clean, and the September video is getting a fresh burst of views.

Why this story? The video is running at 110,037 views a day, 24 times its usual pace (4,586).

Doesn’t matter what I’m deep cleaning, I’m always using my 4 foot sectioning method 🙂‍↕️Doesn’t matter what I’m deep cleaning, I’m always using my 4 foot sectioning method 🙂‍↕️

Brogan usually hates wearing gloves. Opening this refrigerator changes her mind, and the smell has her considering a mask, too.

The woman behind Not the Worst Cleaner says the fridge has not been opened in over a year. Inside are old takeout containers, expired condiments and spoiled food, including hardened milk lurking in a door shelf. Her way into the job is familiar, even if the space is smaller than a cluttered room: "And even though it's a fridge, we're still doing four-foot sections."

Posted in September, the video has added roughly 110,000 views in a day, far above its usual daily pace. That surge belongs to this particular clean: viewing across the channel is close to its normal level.

Brogan clears the contents shelf by shelf, empties the freezer and removes the drawers and shelves for washing. Then she sprays, scrubs and reaches into the emptied appliance's tight corners. The finished reveal follows an hour and a half of work, with the clean fittings back in place.

The comments bring the method down to an even smaller scale. Viewers describe starting with a nightstand, a single shelf or their own small patch of room. One also points out an unexpected lesson from the freezer clean: discovering that a section could be removed at all. Beyond the before-and-after, Brogan is showing which pieces come out and how she works through what remains.

  • Reminder to anyone washing glass refrigerator shelves: make sure they are at room temp before washing. Hot (or even too warm) water on cold shelves can shatter them.

  • Anyone watching this who may be struggling with cleaning, me too. I highly encourage you to pick even just one small table or surface to tidy/declutter. Maybe a night stand or one shelf off of a medicine cabinet. You would be amazed at the dopamine received from even that one small task that takes 5
    Or less minutes ❤

  • 😂 "dare I open it?" That cracked me up.
  • I can't believe you opened it. Curiosity almost always out weighs the I know shouldn't, but I open it anyway. 😊
