Ohio, Hegseth and a $5,000 question: Pete Buttigieg's ten-upload week

The former Transportation Secretary took his case to JD Vance's home state, and his newest clip drew close to 60,000 views in its first half day.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Trump Is Fooling No OneTrump Is Fooling No One

"Trump Is Fooling No One" is the busiest of the ten uploads Pete Buttigieg put on his official channel this week, and it has passed 200,000 views. The comment section keeps coming back to one figure, a promised $5,000, with many viewers arguing over whether anyone will ever see it and what it would really be worth to them.

The rest of the week read like a campaign trail. Buttigieg's appearance with Pete Hegseth on MS NOW went up twice under the same title, two days apart, and both copies cleared 100,000 views. A companion clip on what the title calls Trump's false promises and a shorter piece titled "We Owe It To Our Children" filled out the same Saturday.

The newest stop carries the most energy. "Pete Slams JD Vance in Home Dtate of Ohio" (the typo is the channel's own) brought Buttigieg into the state Vance represented in the Senate before becoming Vice President, and it gathered close to 60,000 views in its first twelve hours. A clip aimed at congressional Republicans, two days old, is moving quickly too.

The channel as a whole ran a little below its usual daily pace, and about a thousand new subscribers arrived. Among the political channels nearest its size, it gathered the third most views this week. Rep. Joe Neguse and The Democrats both had very large weeks, while Barack Obama's channel was quieter than usual.
