Sine and Cosine, $250 cables: Kai Lentit plays a "Teenage Engineer"
The sketch was filmed in Hainbach's synth studio, and Hainbach himself showed up in the comments to say he enjoyed the visit.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Interview with a "Teenage Engineer"
Kai Lentit, the programmer-comedian behind the channel handle "programmers are also human," usually aims his deadpan interviews at software people. His one upload this week turned to synthesizers instead. "Interview with a "Teenage Engineer"" puts a fictional designer named Sven Teshaiser in front of the camera to explain products from Teenage Engineering, the Swedish company known for the OP-1 and for gear that is beautiful, minimal and famously not cheap.
The set is real. The description thanks Hainbach, the Berlin musician known for coaxing music out of old test equipment, for lending his studio, and Hainbach turned up under the video to say he was glad they had fun there. He also singled out the bit about Sine and Cosine as his favorite.
The rest of the comment section is a roll call of favorite lines: an audio upgrade you cannot really hear but somehow notice, a cable priced like jewelry, MIDI split into left and right, a device that "plays the color blue." Several synth owners joke that some of the prices quoted are not jokes at all. Others admit it took them a while to work out that the title meant a company and not a teenager building synths in a spare room.
The video opened with about 200,000 views on its first day. That pushed the whole channel to roughly double its usual daily pace and made it one of the busier weeks among comedy channels its size. Behind it, the "AI CEO Interviews (2026)" parody from the week before has passed 640,000 views, and a product owner getting "slandered" on a Zoom call keeps ticking along too.

"Sine and Cosine" killed me! Happy you had fun in my studio.
@HainbachSee it on YouTubeTook me way too long to remember that there's a company called Teenage Engineering and that this wasn't about a 17 year old that builds synths in his parent's spare room after school.
