That Time Jess Went to JAIL on Murder, She Wrote
Eight days old and already the busiest thing on the shelf, "That Time Jess Went to JAIL on Murder, She Wrote" finds Cabot Cove's most famous mystery writer on the wrong side of a cell door. The description keeps the setup short: good news, Grady is here to help. That would be Grady Fletcher, Jessica's well-meaning and famously hapless nephew, played by Michael Horton across the show's run. Ramen noodles also feature, though the description does not say how.
PushingUpRoses, the retro channel built on what its about text calls introspective, comedic videos about classic TV, movies and games, posted nothing new in the following days. Angela Lansbury's long-running mystery has clearly become a home on the channel. Two older entries in the same "That Time" spirit are still finding viewers: a June piece arguing the show "Has The Worst Detectives", whose description asks, in capitals, why someone keeps singing, and a video from last year on what is billed as the series' worst episode, "allegedly", with Dack Rambo and some practical jokes. That one has passed 300,000 views.
The channel ran a little under its usual daily pace, with about 266,000 views over the seven days and the subscriber count sitting at 350,000, second largest among the movie and TV commentary channels nearest its size. Elsewhere in that group, Eggdar is having an enormous week and Skip Intro is running well past its usual pace, while Full Fat Videos is on the quiet side.
