Choose Your Starter Pokemon, BUT They Have RANDOM Stats!

A familiar Pokémon can become a very unfamiliar prospect when its stats are scrambled. RaidAway+ and Patterrz built teams under exactly that condition in "Choose Your Starter Pokemon, BUT They Have RANDOM Stats!", then put their choices into battle.

The upload reached roughly 93,000 views, comfortably the biggest audience among the channel's six new videos. It also carries the strongest daily momentum right now. Viewers are talking about Patterrz's return and proposing variations on the format: choosing between several sets of stats, rolling before selecting a Pokémon, or distributing a randomly assigned stat total themselves. One commenter points to the appeal of seeing Pokémon that don't usually get picked.

Nuzlockes filled much of the rest of the schedule, with Pokémon Lazarus continuing and Dark Rising getting two installments. The two-player challenge billed as the most difficult ever drew the next-largest audience among new uploads. An earlier two-player Nuzlocke, posted at the beginning of October, remains slightly more active each day than that new episode.

The channel added about 105,000 views over seven days while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Among nearby variety-gaming channels, Yvonne Ng had a much larger viewing week, while FruitSnacksS and Hekya were quieter.

There was also room to leave Pokémon behind. "My FIRST Time Playing Borderlands w/ @UnitedGamer @Patterrz & @Vandy323" gave RaidAway a first outing in the series with three gaming friends, a change of scenery amid all those carefully constrained Pokémon runs.

Loved working on the animations for this video!

It would be fun to do this again, but instead of rolling 3 random abilities, you roll three sets of random stats and you pick those. Or maybe roll you stats before picking. And then see how broken we could make them all :)

I don't think Imposter defeats the point in this video because it would still be using randomized stats, just the ones from Rich instead of the ones you rolled. I actually think it would be particularly interesting because you don't know what stats you're stealing.

I like the stat change videos because you get to see more of the pokemon that you guys don’t always use. It would be fun to have one where every pokemon gets the mega treatment (+100 BST minus HP), where their current BST determines how much max you can raise a single stat / their already best stat using pokemon that are 599 or below.
