Rebel News had a slower viewing day than usual to close a busy publishing week, with subscribers unchanged. Breaking Points and The Majority Report were drawing substantially larger weekly audiences among nearby political channels; Rebel's own uploads kept their focus largely on Canadian disputes.
The most-watched new release was its interview with a BC high school student suspended after publishing recordings of reconciliation programming. It reached roughly 120,000 views. Reporter Drea Humphrey asks why he has kept the recordings online, and his answer centers on parents' ability to see what is taught. The report also includes audio of a principal questioning his phone use during school hours, an important part of the dispute alongside the student's objections to the curriculum.
Toronto supplied two other strands. A report about an attack on Kyle Boisselle was the channel's fastest-moving upload by the weekend. Separately, coverage of cyclists blocking crews removing Bloor Street West bike lanes brought the week's street-level reporting into a dispute over transportation.
Sheila Gunn Reid's Elections Alberta update also remained among the channel's busiest videos. Rebel presented the agency's confirmation that it investigated Forever Canadian as a victory for its reporting, giving the week's political coverage a follow-up rather than another fresh confrontation.
