Riot Games Music adds 20,000 subscribers alongside K/DA's return
A "FIRESTARTER" release notice joins the channel's Arcane-heavy catalog, but the subscriber surge is not matched by a rise in daily views.
Why this story? The channel is adding 19,993 subscribers a day, 14 times a normal day (1,429).
K/DA has interrupted Riot Games Music's quieter release schedule. A new upload, titled "\"FIRESTARTER\" MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW", announces the virtual pop group's return on a channel whose most-watched regular videos are dominated by Arcane songs.
Alongside that announcement, the channel added roughly 20,000 subscribers in a day, far beyond its usual pace. There is an interesting contrast here: daily views are below their typical level. The subscriber jump is clear, but it cannot simply be read as a matching rush to watch the catalog, or attributed to the K/DA notice alone.
The announcement follows September's short, cryptic uploads, including "Leave a message after the beep," tagged HEARTSTEEL. It gives the channel a much more explicit musical headline after those teasers.
Arcane remains a substantial part of what listeners find here. Stromae and Pomme's "Ma Meilleure Ennemie" leads the channel's regular-video catalog, followed by Woodkid's "To Ashes and Blood." There is room for the soundtrack beyond individual songs, too: the channel also carries Wavedash's full Arcane-inspired DJ set from Hexcore Nights in Los Angeles.
