Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Danny Dyer Goes Above and Beyond As SNL UK Host | SNL UK

Saturday Night Live UK had a substantial week among nearby comedy and talk-show channels: about four million views, with Would I Lie To You? enjoying an especially busy stretch and 22 Minutes having a quieter one. The UK show's subscribers grew too, although its daily viewing is currently below its usual pace.

Danny Dyer supplied the week's biggest new upload, a promo rather than a full sketch or musical performance. "Danny Dyer. Sasha Keable. Saturday! | SNL UK" introduces the host and musical guest for October 10 and has passed roughly 316,000 views. It is also the channel's busiest video right now. In the replies, a hand-holding moment becomes a joke about how threatening an ordinary gesture can look; another viewer recognizes Dyer through his voice role as Kent Paul in the Grand Theft Auto games.

Dyer's hosting duties also get a comedy treatment in "Danny Dyer Goes Above and Beyond As SNL UK Host | SNL UK," featuring Jack Shep and Larry Dean. Across fourteen new uploads, the channel made room for the cast as well as the guest: a French Maid character visits Paddy Young at the Weekend Update desk, while Young and Ania Magliano's Beneath the Bleachers material mixes discussion of Update moments with spoken-word poetry and freestyle rap.

The newer freestyle upload is among the videos drawing the most daily views. So is "Debra Moves: Movement Classes and Removals | SNL UK," from just before this week's batch. That sketch brings Jeff Goldblum together with Celeste Dring, Freddie Meredith, Jack Shep and Annabel Marlow for a movement class where Debra makes everything part of the process.

As an American I didn't recognize any of his credits until I got to "voice of Kent Paul in GTA Vice City and San Andreas". That's my guy!
