Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

we explore the rawr xD era | URL

Scene, emo or goth? Smosh Alike made the distinctions part of its latest URL podcast, with a trip through the internet era when punctuation could do half the talking.

"we explore the rawr xD era | URL" was the most-watched of three new uploads, reaching about 362,000 views. Its chapter list moves from memories of the era to favorite 2010s music videos, then a round of "cringe, cursed, or camp" before finishing with Pokémon donuts. That snack-time ending gets its own appreciative mention in the comments, while another viewer connects the discussion of Dan and Phil and Pentatonix to their middle-school years.

Dan and Phil also supplied the subject of the separate upload "A Dan and Phil hair discussion." The comments on the full podcast repeatedly imagine how well the pair would fit the theme and ask for a future appearance. "Damien was ALMOST in Smash game" rounded out the new releases with a gaming detour.

The URL episode is drawing the most daily views on the channel right now, followed by the hair discussion. Just outside this week's releases, "We Respond To Your Hottest Gaming Takes | Assumptions" remains active too, putting character creation, realistic graphics and nostalgia-driven development up for discussion.

Subscribers held steady, while the channel collected roughly two million views over the week. The Try Guys had a similarly steady subscriber week; Buttered Side Down had a busier viewing week. For Smosh Alike, the freshest conversation is about an older internet, right down to the xD in the title.
