Speedo iQ puts breaths and turns under the smart-goggle lens

Nate Tracy explains the tracking system in Speedo's only new upload, following a campaign featuring Regan Smith and Léon Marchand.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Counting laps is only part of the proposition. Speedo's new iQ explainer describes a goggle system designed to record head position, breathing angle and turns, then let swimmers review their session through a connected app.

In "Meet Speedo iQ: Everything You Need to Know About Our Smart Swim Goggles," innovation VP Nate Tracy takes viewers through the technology and design. The system pairs a tracking module with Vanquisher 3.0 goggles; the description says the app offers session insights and suggested drills. This is Speedo's own product showcase, rather than an independent review.

The channel's sole new upload drew about 1,400 views and is attracting the largest daily audience among its currently active videos. Its earlier introduction, "Speedo iQ. This is swim intelligence.," has a much bigger accumulated audience, more than 620,000 views, and features Olympic champions Regan Smith and Léon Marchand. Marchand won four individual gold medals at Paris 2024, a fitting presence in a campaign concerned with the finer details of a swim.

An older equipment video, "Speedo x DMC Fins - A fin for every swim," also continues to pick up views. For anyone catching up, the collection ranges from a familiar training aid to a system that promises to make technique visible after leaving the pool.

The practical question beneath the new explainer is availability: one viewer asks when iQ will reach the EU. The earlier campaign lists the US, UK and Australia, but gives no EU date.
