His only new upload, “Selling Old Equipment and Getting Ready for Harvest,” follows the Central Iowa farmer selling unused equipment, having scrap hauled away and tackling maintenance jobs. It has reached about 55,000 views.

The comments capture the familiar dilemma of a farm clear-out: one viewer predicts he'll need a discarded piece almost immediately. Another compares the machinery upkeep with the challenge of maintaining just one car, while a crop farmer in northeastern Brazil checks in with encouragement.

The bigger draw remains “Is Buying a Whole Cow Actually Cheaper Than Grocery Store Beef?” Now past a million views, it walks through the animal and processing costs, fills the freezer and compares cuts with grocery-store prices. It is drawing substantially more daily views than either the harvest preparation or “Got Tractor Stuck in Mud Hole.”

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, and daily viewing is running well below its usual pace. Even so, Hilbert had the second-largest weekly views gain in this peer group, with VP Motion having the largest. His practical beef-cost question is supplying most of the current momentum.
