TerminalMontage's Resident Evil parody passes a million views
The new animation's credits mix survival-horror music with retro remixes from some decidedly different game worlds.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 1,781,692 views a day, 7.2 times a normal day (246,371).
TerminalMontage is drawing roughly 1.8 million views a day across the channel, more than seven times its usual pace. Alongside that jump, its Resident Evil Requiem parody has cleared a million views since its October 22 release.
The animation brings horror into a catalog whose most-watched regular uploads include Pokémon battle royales and an animated Breath of the Wild speedrun. But its musical ingredients reach well beyond Resident Evil, too.
The credits include the familiar Resident Evil 2 save-room theme alongside Sega Genesis-style remixes of music from Axelay, Shin Megami Tensei and Final Fantasy VI. There is even a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters selection: a broad arcade-and-console palette for a zombie parody.
Jeremey Chinshue is credited with everything from writing and character design to animation, editing and sound design. Edgar Nielsen contributes backgrounds and special effects, Lollergator contributes research, writing and additional storyboarding, and ColonelCheru supplies an additional voice for Grace.
