Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Ray and Cris perform 'For Once In My Life' by Stevie Wonder | The Voice UK

"For Once In My Life" gives Ray and Cris a shared spotlight, and some viewers are already suggesting they should stay a duo. Their Stevie Wonder performance was The Voice UK's most-watched new upload this week, drawing roughly 52,000 views before its first full day was over.

The pairing itself is a talking point in the comments, alongside a broader question about whether song choices give both singers equal room. That is a particular wrinkle of these performances: a song has to work for two distinct voices, not just make a convincing solo showcase.

Soul runs through the new batch. Monique and Lascel take on Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need To Get By," while Finlay and Ciiara Nyx sing Sara Bareilles' "She Used To Be Mine," from her musical Waitress. Those performances also have the strongest daily momentum after Ray and Cris. All three busiest uploads are fresh arrivals rather than archive favorites.

Elsewhere, Jack and Adam sing Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris," Aaren and Samantha tackle Teddy Swims' "Lose Control," and Frank gets a solo billing with Sabrina Carpenter's "Please Please Please." The selection stretches from classic soul to contemporary pop without abandoning the familiar-song appeal of the show.

Across the channel, the week brought about two million views and an unchanged subscriber count. Daily viewing is a little below its usual level. Taskmaster had a substantial week among nearby entertainment channels, while Sidemen Productions was quieter than usual; The Voice UK's own activity centers on this new set of singers sharing songs.
