Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

This Single Dad Sang “Hallelujah”… And Made Britney CRY

Before Stone Temple Pilots, there was an X Factor audition and a Leonard Cohen song. Jeff Gutt's performance of "Hallelujah" supplied the biggest audience among The X Factor USA's six new archive uploads, reaching about 405,000 views.

Posted as "This Single Dad Sang "Hallelujah"… And Made Britney CRY", the clip pairs the singing with a family celebration: Gutt's son Talon runs onstage afterward. In the comments, viewers connect that audition to Gutt's later rock career. He joined Stone Temple Pilots in 2017, giving this particular talent-show rewind a second chapter beyond the judges' reactions.

Rap had its own corner of the week. "Two Brothers. ZERO Chill." revisits Queens duo One4Five's Season 2 audition, which earned four yeses. They also appear in "Since WHEN Does Simon Cowell Love Rappers This Much?!", alongside Brian Bradley, Johnny Maxwell, Rizzloe Jones and Keith Beukelaer. Meanwhile, a longer Khaya Cohen collection follows her Season 3 journey, including her Four Chair Challenge performance of Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven".

The channel gained subscribers over the week, although today's viewing is considerably slower than usual. Nearby talent-show channels have mixed fortunes: The Voice is having a much busier viewing day than its norm, while American Idol is quieter.

Gutt's audition is also the channel's busiest video by daily views right now. The preceding week's Lillie McCloud upload remains active too, with her Season 3 performance approaching 1.8 million views.
