Breadboards join Tina Huang's AI learning map

Her new guide includes a hardware path she is exploring herself, alongside routes into AI leadership, agents and app building.

  6. 21:50Machinists connect hardware and software through local AI, physical devices and robotics.

Tina Huang has been experimenting with microcontrollers, breadboards and Raspberry Pi hardware. That hands-on curiosity gives her latest learning guide a personal detail: the teacher has a new skill tree to work through, too.

In "Here's the AI Roadmap You Actually Need," she calls that hardware-software intersection the Machinist class. She is working through the Machine Learning Systems textbook herself, and places local models, edge devices and robotics along this route. Her own main specialization, she says, is Alchemist, building reliable AI systems, with Crafter and Rogue as secondary interests. The character classes aren't meant to be exclusive clubs.

The guide was the most watched of her two uploads this week, reaching roughly 172,000 views. It includes a sponsored segment for Crusoe Intelligence Foundry. The other upload, "macOS vs nvidia rtx spark," kept hardware in the mix, though it drew a much smaller audience.

Viewers are using the class names to work out where they belong. One discusses choosing between Sage and Machinist; another describes using Claude to identify a Rogue specialization with Alchemist on the side. Several are talking about finding direction for agent learning and workflows, rather than simply collecting another tool.

The channel added about 10,000 subscribers over the week, even as its current daily views run well below their usual pace. Among nearby technology channels, Low Level and Nate Herk | AI Automation are both seeing busier-than-usual daily viewing.

Huang's new roadmap currently draws the most daily views on her channel. Behind it, "Every Size Local AI In 24 Minutes" and "Obsidian in 24 Minutes" remain active, connecting the week's learning map to two concrete interests: running models on hardware and organizing knowledge with AI.

  • My algo has been starving for your educational drops! Tina saving me from the typical copy and paste filling my feed! 🙏

Edit: I knew I was a Rogue and asked Claude Blind room it also picked Rogue with Alchemist secondary. Now I know where to Focus. Thank you.
  • Thank you, Tina! I was feeling lost about learning AI agents and finding an effective workflow, and then I came across your video. Thanks for giving me a good direction. Wishing you all the best!
