Raft racing joins TJ AND MAC's outback camper reveal

Their Wilcania weekend includes reversing practice, MicrowaveMac cooking and a first look at Patriot's GEN 3 X1.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A camper reveal doesn't have to mean a weekend spent talking about storage compartments. TJ AND MAC's only new upload mixes the equipment with a reversing competition, mini bikes and building a raft for the Camp Patriot River Race in outback New South Wales.

"Top Secret! (Don't buy till you watch this)" takes them to Wilcania for a first look at Patriot Campers' GEN 3 X1. The description lists its weight at 895 kilograms, but the itinerary leaves plenty of room for the pair's usual weekend entertainment, including a cooking chapter labeled MicrowaveMac. In the comments, one viewer singles out that cooking segment as a departure from the parts they usually skip in other four-wheel-drive videos; another suggests the Canning Stock Route as a future trip.

The upload has reached roughly 77,000 views, with most of that audience arriving in its first day. Yet the channel's busiest video right now is back at home: "Dream Backyard Shed Setup!" is adding views at about twice the camper video's daily pace. Its walkthrough neatly supplies the shed half of a channel built around both trips and tinkering. The older Red Centre guide also continues drawing views, with its route through the West MacDonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon and Uluru.

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, while the channel added about 301,000 views. Its current daily viewing is a little below its usual pace. Among nearby travel channels, Discover Ventures had a larger weekly view gain, while Rodica - The Foreign Sun saw a notable subscriber increase. For TJ AND MAC, the useful contrast is closer to home: an outback weekend provides the new story, and a backyard shed provides the strongest ongoing draw.
