A thrifted dress, a new cut and an appliqué from Tracy Garcia
The FIT-trained designer's flip passed 60,000 views in four days, while her Mexican Independence Day tablecloth keeps finding viewers.

Tracy Garcia trained at FIT in New York in fashion design, specializing in intimate apparel, and her channel puts that training to work on second-hand clothes. Her two uploads this week were both about one thrifted dress: the flip itself, and a short follow-up showing the finished piece.
The main video opened with about 24,000 views on its first day and has since passed 60,000. Its comments are less about cheering and more about the craft. The most liked one asks roughly how many hours a project like this takes. Others talk about the new cut, the appliqué she added and the fabric itself. One viewer says the material reminds them of Selena, and another calls the result a Vanna White reinvention while admitting a soft spot for the original dress. The video also seems to end on a dance, and a few people want to know who her cheerful partner is.
The video moving fastest on her channel right now is not new, though. It is a 12-day-old one in which she turned a tablecloth into something wearable for Mexican Independence Day, and it is still finding viewers at a quicker clip than the dress.
Overall it was a slightly slower week than usual, and the subscriber count held steady. Among the craft and art channels nearest her size, Clara Threads is having by far the biggest stretch, while Danny Gevirtz is also on a quiet one.

I would love if you could tell us approximately how many hours these projects take you.
@trerodriguezSee it on YouTubeI keep thinking Selena because the material I feel like is something she would pick.
@ArtWithFloresSee it on YouTubeVery nice work. A very Vanna White reinvention. I did love the original dress, though.

I love watching you. You're natural. My mum had that natural talent for turning old clothes into new. She was 9yrs old when she first did it. That was 1959. I've inherited her talent and being poor, I've always managed to re-make my kids old clothes into new ones.
