Dana White acted like he didn’t recognize Volkov 😂 #ufc333

Alexander Volkanovski tries to help. Dana White is asking Alexander Volkov his age as though the heavyweight holding the microphone were an unfamiliar face, so Volkanovski quietly supplies the name. White laughs: he knew perfectly well.

That misunderstanding sits at the heart of UFC's fast-spreading press conference Short, which has drawn nearly a million views in 13 hours. This is Volkov playing an ordinary fan, and White joining the bit rather than genuinely failing to recognize one of his fighters.

Standing among the audience in a light suit, with a phone and microphone in hand, Volkov introduces himself and tells Volkanovski he is his idol. His question: how does he become a world champion? Volkanovski encourages him to keep doing what he is doing.

White's mock introduction briefly interrupts the career consultation, but Volkov has a more pointed follow-up: "What should I do to get a title shot?" Merab Dvalishvili takes that one, recommending a few years in Dagestan.

Viewers are discussing the surreal setup, White's apparent willingness to recruit his own fighter and Merab's training prescription. The comment section is already far busier than a usual full first day for the channel's Shorts.

The exchange also gives a different flavor to the UFC 333 buildup. Alongside it, the latest Embedded episode follows training, fighter check-ins and Volkanovski hosting a team feast. Here, Volkov gets to be the one asking the questions.
