Pet Peeves makes game night personal for Vaseline Noodles
Nick Wong plays all four friends in a card-game sketch where the annoying habits sound suspiciously familiar.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
A Ridiculous Game of Pet Peeves
Nick Wong gives his imaginary friends a simple task: guess which everyday habits annoy their host the most. The trouble is that each card describes someone already sitting at the table.
"A Ridiculous Game of Pet Peeves" was Vaseline Noodles' only new upload this week, reaching roughly 45,000 views in its first six hours. Wong plays the whole gathering, switching between a hoodie-wearing host, a player with glasses, a compulsive word-shortener and a friend who shares rather more personal information than anyone requested.
The game asks players to predict a private ranking, from least to most annoying. Wong turns that guessing exercise into an awkward friendship audit. "That's oddly specif," says the tracksuit-wearing player, neatly demonstrating the very habit on the card. Even the host isn't safely above the proceedings.
Viewers are picking up on the changing color treatment as the mood shifts, and on the little stories Wong gives each character. Some are already requesting a horror version, a fitting suggestion for the creator behind "Board Games as Horror Movies Compilation."
The new sketch is the channel's busiest video right now, with "When your Friend is too Photogenic" and "The Most Intense Game of 9 Lives" also drawing daily views. Across the channel, the week added about three million views while subscribers stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is slower than usual; among nearby comedy channels, Brock Baker had a similar weekly views total, while Colby Martel had a much larger week.
For Wong, the table remains a useful stage: four personalities, three cards, and very little room to pretend an insult isn't about you.
