Flying Flea swaps wartime drops for city rides on Visordown
Royal Enfield's electric commuter was the channel's only new review, and viewers are already imagining accessories.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Royal Enfield’s £5,300 Electric Bike Is Better Than It Has Any Right to Be
Visordown Motorcycle Videos put its entire new-upload week into a Royal Enfield electric commuter, with a name that carries rather more history than the average city bike. The original Flying Flea was dropped from aircraft for Allied forces during World War II. This version's assignment is getting across town without burning gasoline.
The review, "Royal Enfield's £5,300 Electric Bike Is Better Than It Has Any Right to Be", has reached about 69,000 views. It's also the channel's biggest source of fresh views right now, comfortably above the older Honda and CFMoto reviews in its active collection.
The conversation underneath is pleasingly practical. Viewers are imagining a customization market, asking for pannier or rear-rack options and considering different mirrors. Charging brings the commuter promise back to everyday life: one viewer says a nonremovable battery would make charging at their apartment impossible, while another asks whether a normal power outlet is required. Those are questions about fitting the bike into a routine, not just admiring its shape.
Across the channel, daily views are running noticeably above their usual level, although the subscriber count stayed unchanged over the week. Among nearby motorcycle and motorsport channels, Moto Encounters had a much larger week for views; John Doc was quieter.
There is also gasoline-powered browsing to do. The Honda CB1000F retro-bike review continues to attract viewers, while Toad and returning guest Matt Robinson's CFMOTO 675NK and Triumph Trident 660 comparison puts the price gap between two three-cylinder naked bikes under scrutiny.

I think Royal Enfield may have cracked the electric bike thing with this. I can see a big aftermarket customization market for these.
@markwalding8205See it on YouTubeBe even nicer if there was a optional pannier/back rack frame available.

If the battery is non-removable, it's not a goer for me. I just won't be able to charge it in my flat :-/
@vleessjuuSee it on YouTubeI can imagine the mirror aftermarket will be huge for this one 😂
@martyn_gSee it on YouTubeThat regen system is very clever. You can choose to coast or regen as you go. Like it.
@ChitFromChinolaSee it on YouTubeSo I can't charge at a charging station I need to find an power plug and an extension cord?
@paulausSee it on YouTubeAfter having owned 50 motorcycles this is the first to catch my attention and put it on the list of want to have. That is because it does not pretend to be a "normal" motorcycle but some evolution making practical use of an electric engine.
