"Machine", with Mick Gordon on synths, carries Architects through a pause
Jensen Noen directed the three-week-old video, and Dan Searle and Sam Carter wrote the song, now close to two million views.

Architects - "Machine"
Architects posted nothing new this week, and they hardly needed to. "Machine", the Brighton metalcore band's newest single, went up a little over three weeks ago and is still the busiest thing on the channel by a wide margin, gathering several times more views a day than anything else the band has out.
The credits explain some of the interest. Dan Searle and Sam Carter wrote it, Searle produced it and played drums, synths and programming, and the guitar and synth lines are shared with Mick Gordon, the composer best known for the thunderous scores of the Doom reboot and Doom Eternal. Adam 'Nolly' Getgood, once of Periphery, engineered the drums, and Sam Bassal mixed it. Jensen Noen directed, edited and helped shape the effects for the video. The song closes on its plea to be "more than machine", and the channel's own about line keeps it simple: MACHINE out now.
Behind it, "Broken Mirror" from The Sky, The Earth & All Between keeps a steady pulse, months after its release and now well past two and a half million views.
The channel picked up about 1,000 subscribers and some 2.6 million views over the week. Among the rock and metal bands nearest its size, that is the third-largest haul of views, close to Sleeping With Sirens, while The Drums had the biggest week and Vulf ran about double its usual daily pace. Architects managed it without a single upload.
