Video taking off 69x its usual first day

A ten-year-old takes on the parkour masters, and Ajaokesur passes 800,000

Viewers want to know how the backflip was done and where to get the gloves, while a 13-year-old's lazy vault from earlier in the week gets a second wind.

Ajaokesur put a ten-year-old up against a group of parkour masters in a new Short, and 18 hours later it was close to 700,000 views. On this channel, a Short usually finishes its first day somewhere around ten thousand.

The channel splits its time between two worlds. One is animals: a cat that regrets drinking toilet-brush water, a puppy contest over who gets the front seat, and the dog that brings home a young lady, which we covered here. The other is parkour. This week brought a national parkour champion teaching online to an empty room, then a 13-year-old landing a lazy vault under the question "Do you think she's a genius?" That vault Short, posted three days ago, picked up again today with many times its usual daily views. The new video has carried the parkour side further than anything else the channel has posted lately.

The video's tags add BMX to the mix, and the comments stay on the tricks. The most liked one asks how the backflip was done and where to find gloves like his, because the writer's own hands hurt after a ride. Another points to a mother in the background who looks just as surprised as everyone else. For a channel whose Shorts usually get about one comment on their first day, even a handful is a change.

When we last wrote, Ajaokesur was a couple of thousand short of 800,000 subscribers. It is now at 810,000, after adding 19,000 over the week. The channel as a whole is still a little below its usual daily views, so this one Short is doing most of the work.
