Zara McDermott follows stalking survivors' search for protection on BBC deepwatch
The documentary, originally broadcast in July 2025, follows Laura and Liv as they seek to be believed and protected.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
This is the reality of having a stalker
BBC deepwatch added roughly half a million views over seven days, almost the same weekly gain as fellow documentary channel Journeyman Pictures. Its subscriber count stayed unchanged, while daily viewing is running below its usual level.
The most-watched of its three new uploads was "This is the reality of having a stalker", which has drawn nearly 10,000 views. Originally broadcast in July 2025, the documentary follows Zara McDermott as she meets Laura, who describes living with stalking, and Liv, who has endured six years of anonymous cyberstalking. The program follows their efforts to obtain protection and includes a look at how the Metropolitan Police pursue stalking convictions.
The discussion beneath it centers on the burden placed on the people being stalked. Viewers question expectations that they vary their routes, shopping habits and daily schedules, focusing on how those precautions can reshape ordinary life. A separate upload, "Stalking victim shares her story with @zaranicolemcdermott", extends that subject across the week's releases.
Elsewhere, Sian Eleri's Penyffordd Farm investigation remains the channel's strongest source of daily views. "13 Years Of Terror: Inside Britain's 'most haunted house'" has reached almost a quarter-million views as Eleri examines archive recordings and accounts of supposedly paranormal events at the north Wales farmhouse. The week's much smaller gravestone upload returns to that same mystery, while the longer investigation continues to draw the larger audience.
