Wrinkles on the go: Beamish DIY's 'Pocket Ironing Hack'
A clothes trick ran far ahead of the faucet fix posted the same day, and even drew a few comments on a channel whose shorts usually get none.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 218,002 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (17,430).

Beamish DIY spends most of its time among pipes, screws and wall anchors. Its fastest new short came from the laundry pile instead.
"Pocket Ironing Hack" went up on October 8, and 13 hours later it was close to 160,000 views. That is a pace no ordinary Beamish short keeps on its first day. The description bills it as a way to smooth out clothes anywhere, for quick touch-ups, and the title says the rest with a T-shirt emoji and a row of hashtags.
The contrast with its neighbor is sharp. "Quick Faucet Pipe Fix," posted the same day in the channel's usual plumbing territory, was still under 10,000.
The comment section is tiny but unusual for this channel, where a short typically opens with no comments at all. The handful that arrived mostly use one word, genius, once in German, beside a long string of laughing emojis.
The whole channel had a bigger day than usual, nearly four million views. The ironing short is only a slice of that, and most of the traffic came from elsewhere in a catalog that has passed 1.4 billion views.
By Friday the next batch was out, and it stayed close to home: a needle-threading trick, a way to make perfume last longer, a damaged screw hole repair and a gas pipe connection, with the screw hole the furthest along so far.
