"Shopping is the number one cause of pulled hamstrings," Lucy insists, pretending to stretch beside a display of oranges. It's an improvised excuse for ducking out of sight, and not a particularly convincing one.

The Despicable Me 4 scene on clips channel Big Screen Laughs drew about 28,000 views in its first 12 hours, far beyond the channel's usual opening pace for regular videos. This is an excerpt from the animated film, with Kristen Wiig voicing Lucy, rather than a new adventure made for the channel.

The trouble starts with a familiar parental negotiation: Lucy asks for healthy cereal, Agnes picks a unicorn brand, and Edith adds Double Frosted Choco Clusters. Lucy agrees to both. Then she spots a customer whose bad haircut has left her very eager to find her hairdresser.

Lucy's attempt to remain unnoticed ends with a falling stack of cans. Soon, flour and butter become escape equipment as she and the girls hurry through the aisles. Even in emergency mode, there's still a checkout to get through.

The channel has also posted scenes of Gru adjusting to a fake identity and the Minions undergoing a super-serum test. Here, though, the family's attempt at ordinary suburban life unravels over groceries and a haircut.
