Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

A Tiny Squirrel Walked Right Up to a Golden Retriever

The golden retriever lowers its snout to investigate. The squirrel reaches up toward its face. For a moment, the small visitor seems quite comfortable making the introductions itself.

"A Tiny Squirrel Walked Right Up to a Golden Retriever" is Brighter Paws' most-watched upload of the week, and its fastest-moving video right now. The brief outdoor clip, credited on screen to @rubydaboobz, has reached about 1.8 million views. A person sits nearby holding the dog's leash, but the comments give the squirrel the starring role: viewers imagine it asking to pet the dog, while others focus on the retriever's restraint.

There was plenty else in the upload queue. "Everyone heard music. This dog saw a stick." and "This Tiny Dachshund Has Donkey-Sized Confidence" are both approaching a million views. The dachshund had the larger first-day audience of those two; the music-and-stick upload is adding views faster now. A tiny spider taking a circuitous route and the already featured talkative "flower" broadened the week's animal lineup.

Across the catalog, Brighter Paws added roughly 37 million views over seven days. Daily viewing is now close to four times its usual level, although the subscriber count stayed unchanged for the week. Sierra Rose also had a substantial viewing week among similarly sized animal channels, while Erin Williams had a quieter one.

Horses remain an important part of Brighter Paws' back catalog: June's "Patience really is the ultimate love language 🥹 #horse" has passed 100 million views.
