Percy Pig gets a defense in Chef Nick's gummy tour
Two new uploads take Nick from international gummies to an Indian snack-rating session.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Gummies From Around The World
Percy Pig's score has become a small point of contention beneath Chef Nick's "Gummies From Around The World." Several viewers question the British candy's six-out-of-ten rating, while another remembers gummy burgers being handed out by teachers at school. A candy tour can double as a tour of everyone's snack loyalties.
The gummy upload is the week's most-watched new arrival, with just over a million views. But "Rating EVERY Indian Snack," the other release, opened with more than twice as many views in its first day and is currently drawing the most daily views on the channel. After the India-USA snack comparison we covered previously, Nick has given Indian snacks a rating session of their own.
The tasting itinerary reaches back further, too. "Rating EVERY Indonesian Snack," published a month ago, remains among his busiest uploads. Under the gummy video, one viewer offers a list of Indonesian candies for another possible tasting, while another imagines building an entire set with gummy bricks. There's no shortage of suggested additions to the shopping basket.
Nick added roughly 20,000 subscribers over seven days, and daily viewing is running well above its usual level. Among nearby food channels, Sam Shan Shops had a particularly substantial week for views; Jack Mancuso and Faraway Village also added subscribers. For Nick, the fresh Indian snack ratings and the older Indonesian edition are giving this week's gummy assortment plenty of company.
