A dog fed from a smelly boot, and a bullied corgi on a skateboard, for Chuanxu Studio
The boot Short spent its first days quietly, then picked up speed on its third, while the corgi Short posted a day later drew the bigger crowd.
Why this story? The video is running at 35,051 views a day, 32 times its usual pace (1,109).
Fed From a Smelly Boot!😭#usa#dog#shorts
Chuanxu Studio, a channel billed in its own words as "dedicated to true cat and dog lovers," posts its dogs in short, emoji-tagged titles that tell the whole plot. "Fed From a Smelly Boot!😭" is one of them. The description says only that it is shared for entertainment and that no animals were harmed.
It went up on Tuesday and had a modest first day. Then, three days in, it found a second gear and moved toward 50,000 views. For the channel as a whole it was an ordinary day. The boot simply took a bigger share of it.
The Short also belongs to a small run. A week earlier came "Fed ONE Kibble!", and the channel keeps returning to dogs and what ends up in their bowls, with a drumstick thief and a dog getting "cucumber revenge" on a pig in between.
The week's real pull, though, is a corgi. "Bullied Fat Corgi's", posted the day after the boot, has passed 150,000 views, and a follow-up already has the same dog becoming "a pro skater" who gives rides to puppies.
The comments under the boot video are few and mostly hearts, crying faces and the word cute, stretched out with extra letters.
