Drawings and Creations lifts NASA lettering off the page
A rolling pencil reveals the cut-paper construction behind the channel's space-agency lettering illusion.
Why this story? The video is running at 25,482 views a day, 7.4 times its usual pace (3,462).

A blue pencil rolls behind the raised lettering, giving away part of the trick. Drawings and Creations' NASA drawing isn't just perspective on a flat sheet: its upper portion is cut out and elevated above the lined paper.
The brief showcase has added about 25,000 views in a day, more than seven times its usual daily pace. Published on October 15, it presents the finished drawing rather than the process of making it. Nobody appears on screen, and there is no spoken explanation. Instead, the camera tilts and rotates around the paper to show how the illusion changes with the viewing angle.
NASA gives the channel's familiar dimensional letters and numbers a recognizable subject. Its most-watched Short uses the letter S, while other widely watched drawings turn digits into apparently solid objects.
Despite the tutorial invitation in this video's title, the drawing instructions are elsewhere. The channel's October 16 compilation includes a NASA tutorial beginning at 4:44, tucked between demonstrations of dimensional numbers. This clip is the finished-object demonstration, with the pencil doing the explaining.
